|
|
I have to replace my 90 degree live well pump on my 17' aluminum boat. How does the outside round black "filter" come off the transom? This may be a stupid question, but I assume I should just measure the transom thickness and buy a 90 degree pump with an intake tube just long enough the go through the transom. I am hoping someone will tell me the round outside"filter" screws off the filter intake tube.
Any help will be appreciated. |

The screen screws off.
The new pump intake that sticks out the transom will need to be cut off with a hack saw to allow one thread to stick out past the retaining nut when it's installed. Don't forget the silicone inside and out when you put the new one in.
Mayfair makes a better pump (my opinon) because you can just change out the pump motor and leave the rest in place. _________________ My wallet sponsors me!!!
